Robotic process automation (RPA) has become a broadly encompassing term for business process automation via artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning.  For software testing, it most commonly refers to GUI driven software test automation (note that GUI driven automation testing existed before RPA became a popular term, and with it you can verify back-end functions through front-end user scenarios).
